What is a Shrine?, Sem II

Initially, we dealt with thinking of a structure which can be used by the villagers and which will harbour the interaction of the villagers with the sea. A space which can be dedicated for the local deity, Mahapurush.

I thought of a long furniture piece which can be inhabitated at various places. It becomes seating at a point and goes up to become a roof at the next point. A space which is a long continuum of a single wooden piece.

Whole structure is supported to two coconut trees at one end and goes down in the ground at the other end. Whole design is thought of with wooden planks taking various curves and shapes to create various spaces at every interval.

Shown below are some views of how the long furniture piece will look on site and some construction details.
